FAMU’s annual Homecoming 5K served as the setting for the event. Gunna’s participation and the scholarship commitment were both part of the reported Homecoming activity.
The event reflects how an HBCU Homecoming gathering can include both campus tradition and student-focused support. In this case, the reported support is tied specifically to scholarships for five FAMU students, with Walmart and Wunna Run Club identified as the organizations making the commitment.
The announcement does not include further information about the event’s schedule, the students receiving scholarships, or any additional programs connected to the commitment. Those details remain outside the information provided in the report.
Why this matters: The $10,000 commitment gives five Florida A&M University students scholarship support connected to the school’s annual Homecoming 5K. That links a major FAMU community event with direct assistance for students.
